The studio was able to participate in a masterclass with Frank Rosenwein, Principal Oboe of the Cleveland Orchestra.
Because of last year’s very cold winter, the cane didn’t grow as well this summer. It was still a great learning experience, though, to see how cane is cut and dried.
The Kent State Oboe Studio took a trip to Washington D.C. to have a master class with the principal oboist of the National Opera, Igor Leschishin, and to see the National Opera perform Florencia in the Amazon.
