Last weekend, Mrs. Sundet played the Rite of Spring with the Erie Philharmonic on a piece of cane she got from our very first cane harvest!
The ideas for this blog have been months in the making, and with it we hope to introduce oboists and other musicians to the oboe studio and the music department at Kent State University. There will also be information about the John Mack Oboe Camp, which is directed by our professor, Danna Sundet. We hope to post just about everything, including lessons on advanced techniques, general oboe playing, and of course, reeds.
Since this blog will be transferred to a new owner every once in awhile, all of the really important KSU and oboe-related info will be put in the pages along the top for ease of access. The main feed is reserved for general news, subjects of interest, proclamations of vanity, and everything else.
I hope this blog becomes a collaborative environment for all of Mrs. Sundet’s students. Feel free to contact me if you would like to have something published or if you would like to become a regular contributor.
